IGGY and THE STOOGES, Tribute to Ron Asheton, Ann Arbor 4.19.11, first photographs

One fan said of my photo above "this is the baddest Iggy's looked in years!"

From the Tribute to Ron Asheton at the Michigan Theatre, Ann Arbor MI, 4.19.11. A taste from the feature-to-come.* (In the meantime visit Retrokimmer's excellent account LINK.) Second
from top photograph displays Iggy Pop doing that crazy hand jive with his microphone. Also depicted are Stooge guitarist James "Raw Power" Williamson (
LINK) and saxophonist Steve MacKay. Below, Iggy and James, on Weissenborn lap guitar, offer an emotional duet in keeping with the evening's theme, "Ron's Tune" featuring hints of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" slack key-style.

Below, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Stooges' guitarists James Williamson and the evening's honoree, the late Ron Asheton.

*we first have to rid our house of lycanthropes. A film production of webisodes for MTV's "Teen Wolf" has taken over our abode with much disruption to my normal work routine...
